Enterprise eCommerce Optimization

Best Buy Canada is one of the largest electronics and appliance eCommerce platforms in North America, serving both direct retail customers and third-party marketplace sellers. The project focused on enhancing the cart experience by optimizing a floating cart summary widget used across product pages, listing pages, and checkout flows.

Our contribution included improving the widget’s mobile and tablet responsiveness, refactoring frontend logic for better stability, and enhancing performance by deferring widget rendering until after the main page content loaded. Using React, Redux, Tailwind CSS, Webpack, Loadable Components, and IntersectionObserver, the cart module became smoother, faster, and more reliable across key shopping journeys.
